ஓர் புதிய அறிவிப்பு!

உலக புத்தக நாளான இன்று இந்த அறிவிப்பை வெளியிடுவதில் மகிழ்ச்சியடைகிறேன்.

நான் எழுதிய, ‘மரப்பாச்சி சொன்ன ரகசியம்’ என்னும் சிறார் நாவலை இன்றுமுதல் மக்களுக்கானதாக அறிவிக்கிறேன்.

குழந்தைகளின் மீது நிகழும் பாலியல் சுரண்டல்களை எதிர்ப்பதற்கு அக்குழந்தைகளை தயார்படுத்தவும், அவர்களுடைய உடல் மீதான அவர்களின் உரிமை என்ன என்பதை அவர்களுக்குக் கற்பிக்கவும் இச்சிறுபடைப்பின் வழியாக முயன்றுள்ளேன்.

தமிழ் கூறு நல்லுலகம் இப்படைப்பை இருகரம் கொண்டு வரவேற்று, விருதளித்து கௌரவித்தது.

இன்னும் இன்னும் பல இடங்களில் குழந்தைகளின் மீதான அத்துமீறல்கள் தொடர்ந்த வண்ணமே உள்ளன. பாதிக்கப்படும் ஒவ்வொரு குழந்தையும்,  தான் பாதிக்கப்படுகிறோம் என்பதை அறிவதில்லை. பாலியல் கொடூரங்களுக்கு உள்ளாக்கப்படும் குழந்தைகள், தங்களைத் தாங்களே குற்றவாளிகள் என்று  நினைக்கின்றனர். அப்படி எண்ணத் தேவை இல்லை என்பதையும் பிள்ளைகளுக்குப் புரியும் மொழியில்,  இந்த மரப்பாச்சி சொன்ன ரகசியம் கதையில் கூறி உள்ளேன். குழந்தைகள் மீது சமூகத்தின் தீவிர கவனம் கோரும் ஆவணம் இது.

இச்சிறார் நாவல், இன்னும் பல நூறு குழந்தைகளிடம், பெற்றோர்களிடம், ஆசிரியர்களிடம், பல சமூகத் தளங்களைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களையும் சென்று சேரவேண்டும் என்று மிகவும் விரும்புகிறேன்.

 à®Žà®©à®µà¯‡, மரப்பாச்சி சொன்ன ரகசியம் என்னும் இப்படைப்பை தமிழ்நாட்டு மக்களுக்குச் சமர்ப்பிக்கிறேன். 

இன்று முதல் தமிழில் எவரும் இந்த சிறார் நாவலை பதிப்பித்துக் கொள்ளலாம்.

இக்கதையை அச்சு தவிர்த்த (மின்னூல், கிண்டில் நூல், பி.டி.எப், ஆடியோ, வீடியோ, திரைப்படம், குறும்படம் போன்ற..) இதர வடிவத்தில் பயன்படுத்த, பிற மொழிகளில் இக்கதையை மொழியாக்கம் செய்ய, படைப்பாளராக என்னிடம் அனுமதி பெறவேண்டும் என்பதையும் இத்தருணத்தில் தெளிவுபடுத்த விரும்புகிறேன்.

இந்த அறிவிப்பு குறித்த என் முடிவை வரவேற்று, ஆலோசனைகள் வழங்கி, உற்சாகப்படுத்திய அண்ணன்கள் அப்பண்ணசாமிக்கும், யூமாவாசுகிக்கும் தோழமையின் பேரன்பு.

மரப்பாச்சி சொன்ன ரகசியம்- இனி மக்கள் சொத்து. இதைப் பரவலாகக் கிடைக்கச் செய்து,  நம் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு அவர்களின் உரிமையையும், சுரண்டல்களை எதிர்க்கும் தைரியத்தையும் வழங்குங்கள் என்று கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறேன்.

Greetings,

I have some news.

I am happy to make this announcement today, on World Book Day(23.04.2022). I bequeath to the public my children’s novel, ‘Marappaachi Sonna Ragasiyam’.

With this book, I’ve tried to equip children to fight against the sexual exploitation that they face, and teach them about their bodily rights and autonomy. The Tamil world has offered such a warm response, honouring this effort with awards.

Abuse against children continues to happen in many places. Almost every child subjected to it remains unaware of the abuse they endure, unable to name it. What’s worse, they believe they are to be blamed for it. That they never have to think that way is what I have conveyed through ‘Marappaachi Sonna Ragasiyam’, in a language that children will understand. It is work that demands society’s unwavering attention to children and their needs.

I want this novel to reach far more children, parents, and teachers from different sections of society. And so, I offer this book to the people of Tamil Nadu. From today, anyone can publish (print) this novel.

I would like to clarify that using this story in a medium (Ebook, Kindle book, PDF, audio, video, movie short film etc..) other than print or translating it into other languages would require my permission as its creator.

I extend my love and gratitude to kindred brothers Appannasamy and Yuma Vasugi for welcoming this decision, and offering advice and encouragement.

‘Marappachi Sonna Ragasiyam’ now belongs to the people. I ask every one of you to make this book available far and wide, and offer to our children the knowledge of their rights, and the courage to fight its exploitation.
